March Madness in Chicago is exciting, with events and activities that make the city come alive. While March Madness might bring basketball to mind, it is also a playful nod to the city’s unique traditions, like dyeing the Chicago River and hosting sporting events like the Men’s Big Ten Tournament.
Recently, I attended Fall Weekend at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, to support Angela. She earned the prestigious POSSE Scholarship. Although I received the dates for the event in August, details about transportation, parking, and accommodations were not sent until October. I used my travel rewards to make the trip.
October is the best time to visit Chicago. Why? Do you want to visit the Bay Area? LSKTravelz flew to Oakland for a fun-filled weekend of dance and fellowship. The Bay Area encompasses cities and metropolitan areas of San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland. We arrived in Oakland Thursday to meet up with friends from Atlanta and North Carolina.

Visit the coastal town of Ballito. I want to wind down my 30-year career as an educator in South Africa. I saw an advertisement for Build the Future in my FB feed. Although my expertise is not in elementary education, I wanted to be of service to this nonprofit organization.
I woke up one morning and mapped out my solo road trip to Canton, Ohio. Although I was going to Hershey, Pennsylvania, I stopped in Canton to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I packed a small suitcase, loaded a cooler, and stayed on the road for six hours.
Do you want to explore the history of NASCAR? I drove to Midway Airport and parked in the Economy Lot. Uber wanted $31 for a one-way trip, but I could park in the garage for $30 for two days. I still had to get home when I returned from Charlotte.
Where can you book a flight under $100? Southwest Airlines. It also depends on the airport. My preference is Midway. I last visited Detroit to see K’Jon perform. Before that, I was in the Motor City for a friend’s wedding. Now, I am back in Detroit for a quick trip.
The Southwest Promotional Companion Pass returned in March. When I saw the advertisement, I posted it to my social media accounts. There is no reason to miss this opportunity because I have posted the promotion since 2021. Although the window to travel is August through September, the timeframe is convenient.
