LSKTravelz! I can travel solo. I travel with Kim or Lynn, and we take trips together. Of course, I travel with friends. My international flights include Cabo, Cancun, Jamaica, and Spain. Kim has traveled to Belize. Lynn traveled to Thailand and crossed the pond to see the Chicago Bears play. You can travel too.
A friend said, “I know you are not rich, but you travel, and you need to share some of your tips.” He was the inspiration for LSKTravelz. I supplement my hotel accommodations using my timeshare ownership, and sometimes I help others travel. My goal for most trips is to earn points as I redeem them. Although I carry Amex Platinum, my go-to airline card is the Southwest Rapid Rewards Visa. My hotel rewards programs include the World of Hyatt, Hilton Honors, and Marriott Bonvoy. I visited the Hilton Grand Vacations resort at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida. I redeemed a vacation package as part of a special promotion offered by a friend (owner). There were multiple destinations to choose from like, Las Vegas, New York, and Myrtle Beach. The cost was $112 for this four-day trip, and I had to attend a 90-minute presentation during the stay.
We booked a 1-bedroom suite with every amenity in quiet building number 7. The property is beautiful, and from the moment we entered the hotel, the staff looked after us. They were welcoming, friendly, and polite. Nothing was too much to ask them for assistance. If you want to buy tickets for attractions or need restaurant recommendations, stop at the reception desk. My room was clean and perfectly air-conditioned, and the enclosed balcony shielded us from mosquitoes. We could not have booked a hotel room/suite for the same price. The resort has large hot tubs and three swimming pools. If you need to purchase groceries like milk, snacks, etc, there is a store on the property. You can also order food from the outside bar.
We went to the presentation. The representative promised, “No more than 90 minutes.” During the presentation, we enjoyed refreshments. There was no hard-selling, just friendly people. The manager checked in at the end of 90 minutes. He wanted to be sure his staff had looked after us and then bid us goodbye. We were pleased about the offers and liked the idea, but it was not for us this time. We received a $200 voucher for any Hilton-affiliated hotel at the end of the presentation and used the voucher in New York City. I would stay at a Hilton again and would love to participate in another promotion. The vacation and experience were great.
I have been on two trips organized by Sheryl. We traveled to Vegas during the summer of 2016 and Myrtle Beach in 2018. Teachers mostly travel in the summertime. Sheryl booked the flights and accommodations. She booked a huge 3-bedroom deluxe for six people. We paid $67 per person for this four-day trip with accommodations at an HGV property. Sheryl also reserved a car and searched for flights. We discussed the itinerary before traveling. We enjoyed visiting the Hoover Dam, participating in a dance class, and attending a Vegas Show (MJ Live). She scheduled pool time, dining options, and shopping. Sheryl even planned rest into our fun-filled days – she knew we would need it.

My timeshare ownership allows me to travel solo, hang out with family and friends, and share opportunities to travel. I purchased my timeshare in 2014, paid the loan off, and added my son to the title by 2017. Of course, there is an annual assessment, but I also live in a condominium. When Christopher took advantage of the referral program, I received 5,000 Hilton Honors points. As I said before, I am not trying to sell timeshares. However, if family and friends want to participate in a timeshare presentation, I will continue to share offers through the referral program.
