Comments
I collect personal data generated from technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, analytics, and third party embeds. By default, WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors. WordPress only collects data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. When visitors leave comments on the site I collect (1) visitor’s IP address and (2) browser user agent string from the form. This information helps spam detection.
An anonymized string created and delivered from your email address (also called a hash) to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Depending on how you interact with this website, some personal information is collected. I require visitors who ask questions through the comment form to provide their name and email address. My objective is to respond and provide visitors with the information requested. I keep contact form submissions for 30 days for customer service purposes. I do not use information submitted through the comment form for marketing purposes.
When you leave a comment on the site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. The cookies are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimize them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. Therefore, the EXIF data is stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers.
Smush uses the Stack path Content Delivery Network (CDN). Stackpath may store web log information of site visitors, including IPs, UA, referrer, Location and ISP info of site visitors for 7 days. Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator. Drip receives the administrator’s email address. A cookie set by the service. Drip will only collect administrator information.
If you leave a comment, the comment is retained along with its metadata indefinitely. This is important because the process allows the site to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically. I do not hold comments in a moderation queue. For users that register on the website (if any), the personal information you provide in your user profile is stored. Besides, all users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
