I share how I attended a virtual taping of The View in this post. If you read my travel blog, you know I am about the view. As I planned my trip to New York, I added the Tonight Show to my list of activities. I forgot about my 1iota account.
After I reset my password and logged into my account, I laughed. I requested tickets to Windy City Live a few years ago. I also noticed I never completed my profile. Right away, I added five pictures. Automatically, the account changed to All-Star. “The more you complete, the better your recommendations and chances of scoring tickets to an event.” I wanted tickets for the Tonight Show featuring Jimmy Fallon. The registration period ended for shows up to July 23. Until the calendar opened up, I looked for other shows to attend. I found, The View. There were still seats available for July 15 with Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson III. I requested and received a notification for the priority ticket group. Yes, the show is virtual. I was excited.
Of course, I had to figure out what to wear. The information I received with the ticket helped me determine what not to wear to a virtual audience. There were videos to get me pumped up about the show and reminders to discourage no-shows. If your plans change, you should let them know if you will not be in attendance. However, for Jimmy Fallon, you must present your vaccination card when you attend a live show. Screenshots of the card are not accepted.
I am adding to my 15 minutes of fame slowly. I appeared on Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist showing off my yellow mug. Now that was unbelievable. Regina from The View guided us through a series of warmup shots for the show. Schedule an appointment for a manicure. Your hands should be visible at all times while you are clapping. I had a great time talking to the virtual audience members as we waited for the show to start. Although I was a newbie, several virtual audience members were familiar with the format from participating in other episodes.
